I use campground water... COffee is passes through a simple home made charcoal filter (not very good but good enough) Drinking gets a 2nd filter. originally a Brita. it did not bounce well one day so the thrift store I was at had a PUR so now I use a PUR.
Never had a problem but.. A few years back I did a "Sudden switch" from Michigan to South Carolina water (I let the tank run dry of MI water before I refilled) and 80 gallons. normally nearly a 3 week supply. lasted just one week... Due to.. er.. "After effects" of a change of water (Additional flushing of the flusher). Now when I move I re-fill at about 1/3 down and again when it's down 2/3. then I'm good after that.. Don't have the after effects.
