I fill the trailers water tank and we only use it for showers and dishes. Drinking, cooking and coffee are all made with bottled water be it gallons or bottles.
In my eyes its simply not worth the risk of getting sick and if a little bit of extra water makes or breaks your cargo capacity you need a bigger truck.
