Yes, you most likely do, I do it with a Quad cab pulling a 33' fiver. I really don't find them to be an issue.
Now the to the picture of the Arc de Triumphe in Paris picture, many take the short route more of less straight across, interesting to watch!! You can see examples in the picture, and yes several near misses!!
