We drove a rental car about 2000 miles during a visit to England. Our end of trip hosts politely asked what I liked best about driving in England.
I said "the absolute best feature is the distinct lack of stop signs. Why don't you have stop signs all over the place?"
He looked at me kind of puzzled and said, "Why would you have someone stop if there is no traffic coming?"
