Well I have found it necessary to use the left lane because the right lane is so tore up it makes it impossible to use let alone when towing a trailer. If they want me to stay in the right lane fix the highway. BTW when I do find it necessary to use the left lane I move over when there is a car coming up behind me!
In fact some newly constructed concrete highways setup such bad harmonics you can barley even use the highway!
