What ticks me off most is folks who seem to think I'm supposed to drive my 12,000 lb. Class C motorhome at the speed they want to drive their little puddle-jumpers at so as to not slow them down one iota. I can't figure out if their distain for me taking it easy in an RV isn't based on more than a speed based psychosis ... maybe it's based somewhat on sour grapes because they can't have an RV themselves. :h
I think you misunderstand their disdain. If they're behind you, they don't necessarily want you to driver faster. There's the other obvious option of getting out of their way and letting them continue on. I'm inferring from your comment about the weight of your motorhome that you agree that a sedan can safely travel at a higher speed than your motorhome. So why are you so frustrated with the drivers who are wanting to do that?
It's really simple: On a multi-lane highway, keep right except to pass. On a single lane highway, pull over when it's safe to do so. I'll give you a nice thank you wave (the full hand kind) as I pass by.
