So by extension - if enough folks are ignoring the physics of speeding such that it appears they are getting away with it, then the physics should be tweaked so that the danger no longer exists?
I believe that's somehow related to another viewpoint on speeding in a vehicle: "You can ignore reality, but you cannot go on ignoring the consequences of ignoring reality."
