There is a scenic drive in N Michigan that runs along Lake Michigan for a couple dozen miles, very popular with visitors. It also gets a fair amount of traffic from the local remodelers and contractors due to the pricey homes lining this road. It is almost impossible to pass on this road.
The road is very narrow, curvy, and slow going, especially if you're gawking at the amazing views of the big lake or checking out summer cottages that are nicer than most people's homes, but do you you think the tourists will get over and let the guys with the ladder racks on their trucks pass? Nope.
