Ag does not use 80% of of stored water supply. That figure includes environmental water also, it has been highly misquoted by the media. These numbers come from the California Department of Water Resources: Enviromental demands take 50% of the water, ag 40% and urban use the remaining 10%.
I farm and I get ZERO water this year (and last year also). Kind of hard to cut back more from a 0% allocation.
