That is what I did for my 2KW Honda Generator. I just picked up a RV30A-15A long adapter from WALMART in the camping section. Looks like this and just plugs into the 120VAC receptacle on the 2KW Generator. Also available from AMAZON...
This is something you need to carry with your 30A trailer anyway if you ever want to run an extension cord from the garage to hookup your 30A Trailer to shore power.
