The ones I like to watch are the folks who use gloves. They do their business then remove the gloves. One glove comes off with a gloved hand then the other comes off using the now bare hand. The gloves are then put away using bare hands. They then hop into the vehicle & off they go presumably to handle a snack with those unwashed bare hands as they go.
Bare hands people at the dump here, however a liberal amount of antiseptic is used to wash off. This is kept right in the service bay where the dump valve switches are.
As far as the antics of others go, as long as their actions don't leave a mess for me to deal with, let them got at it & learn from mistakes.
Any medic or RN knows the correct way to remove gloves without contaminating oneself. I assure you, at the dump station, I use "universal precautions"!!
As a (disposable) glove user there is nothing to it. Gloved or ungloved hand you pull back the other hand's glove from at the wrist which inverts the glove; the used side is on the inside. Also think about your shoes...if you are walking around close or in the dump area you can be picking up bacteria and tracking into your RV...do you wash the bottoms of your shoes with antiseptic? I keep a spare pair of shoes in an outside compartment.
I've seen a lot of gloveless people at the rv dump station put stuff away and just drive off; to each his own.
