I don't think it's a matter of whether the water is clean, or if other vehicles are getting wet. It's more about perception. No one knows by looking at the leaking fluid as to whether it's just water or some other noxious fluid. To non-rv'ers, we appear to be slobs driving down the road with our leaky RV's, possibly dumping waste water, or worse, on the roadway. It just gives the appearance of nastiness and gives us all a bad rap. If you need/want to dump fresh water, you really should do it at a dump station or at home. No one wants to have to guess as to what's coming out of your RV. Just MHO, take it for what it's worth.
