Why do cities all over the Country institute restrictions on things like watering lawns if all you are doing is recycling water through your grass? Or why does the City of Phoenix have an official policy on how many times you should fill and dump your swimming pool, and even THAT policy asks that the water is dumped directly into the storm sewer. I think it was clear that people are talking about a more immediate water supply issue, not some theoretical long term water cycle issue.
We aren't talking about right or wrong here. We aren't talking about science. We are talking about courtesy and awareness of others. I could let my dog******in your yard and tell you you should appreciate the free fertilizer. I won't do that because it is rude. Dump on your own property as far as I am concerned (Your dog and your RV!). Problem solved. I have a coworker that cuts through a private business parking lot with a "no public access please" sign to short circuit his drive home instead of going around on the city streets that takes 30 seconds longer. I travel the same direction home and I don't do that nor do most in my office. Some people think of themselves first and justify their actions. Others think of others first to explain their actions. Neither think they are wrong. All of us fall somewhere in that spectrum and for that reason this thread has become a dead end.
