As long as he isn't dumping more than 40 gallons at a time, there is nothing wrong with that system. The only concern I would have is the short 20' drain field, but if located in Michigan sand, it would be more than enough.
Its better than what I use, which is to pull the TT out to the field behind the house and "let it fly".
I once paid good money for a professionally designed septic system. Had to argue with the designer that was insistant on locating the septic uphill of my well.
