Earliest snowfall since 1888 in SD

It was supposed to snow here last night.
It didn't.
The temp. did drop to the upper 20's, though.
Thick frost and fog. I had to hunt around in the garage and find my windshield scraper.
By Wednesday, it will be back to the upper 70's/lower 80's.

Finally!!! After over 120 years, things are finally getting back to normal. It'll probably take another 1, 000 years for the glaciers to reform where they belong, but at least we are headed in the right direction. Or are we ?????

Yep, We're sitting in 3-4" of it at our camp site here in Custer State Park, SD and it's still snowing. Beautiful sight!

I was supposed to be camped 6 miles south of Deadwood/Lead, at Fish & Fry CG. We often go motorcycling there after Labor Day. We do street riding, and off road dirtbiking.

It was lucky that my riding partner had an emergency, and we canceled our trip this year. If not, we would have been there from Thursday after Labor Day, thru this coming Sunday, at which time the CG would close for the season.

Yep its snowing. We're at Hart Ranch RV Resort just outside Rapid City, SD and woke up this norning to snow. Being from Texas we don't get to see snow much so its not a problem. It will be all cleared out by the time we leave next week.
