Wondering how often you visit a full service restaurant. It would be interesting to know what sort of RV'er you are: weekend warrior, frequent short-tripper, snowbird, fulltimer, etc.I'll go first. We are long term traveling fullimers. We eat out once a month or less. Even then we go to out of the way local recommendations. My illustrious career has included the ownership of 2 restaurants and the management of another. What I produce out of my kitchen on a daily basis is significantly better than what we can get out. If that sounds braggadocios, it was intended to be. :) I love cooking, but once in a rare while I like a short break. My wife and I are almost always disappointed.

We travel 3 - 4 months at a time, usually in the winter. We're usually moving every 3 - 4 days and therefore find it easiest to eat out 2 - 3 times a week - quit often after arriving at a new RV park later in the evening. One of things is we like trying places to eat that we normally don't have in Alaska. And it's nice to try cuisines that we normally wouldn't cook for ourselves.Bill

Week-end warrior here, with 3 one week trips a year. When camping, it's almost always fixed at the camper. If on the road, no problems stopping somewhere. Our style of restaurant is Cracker Barrel. Occasionally we'll swing into a Mom & Pop if we come across one. But mostly, it's just sandwhiches and Little Debbies on the road.We eat out at a variety of restaurants when not camping. Texas Roadhouse style is about the highest level we hit though, and we stay away from McDonald's completely. So when camping, we have the time to actually prepare our own meals, and time for clean up and really enjoy it.

Weekender.We have our two grandsons on board. We consider it a treat when we eat somewhere that does not have a drive-thru. :(Fortunately, my DW is a great cook.

I do whatever strikes me at the moment.

Full-time. The only time I've eaten out at restaurants in the past year and a half was when visiting friends. I can eat better and cheaper by cooking for myself. :)

Weekend warrior and typical RV family (week trip to beach, Disney once in awhile, etc.).

We eat out often on trips. Its a leisure thing for us. We do most breakfasts and almost all lunches at the camper but at least half our suppers are out.

Same with us but we switch up between lunch and supper. Never eat breakfast out. Every couple days is the norm unless there's a burger joint that's regional to that area. We love our burgers!

We are about 18 months from retirement so weekend warriors. We can make our own weekends so when we go thet are always 4-5 days. We will make a few week or two week trips, and mostly eat around the trailer. Funny thing, as we get closer to retirement we take more time off. As I say to a few.....go ahead and fire me....:)

Breakfast almost daily at McDs or Starbucks if available. I like the company in the morning.

Dinners, maybe once a month. I'm a pretty decent cook...but just try to keep me away from a casino buffet!
