Electric awning questions
Can an electric awning ever be manipulated manually? Will it run just off of the trailer battery? What if you are boon-docking and do not have access to electricity, can you open and close the awning?...

This again is just a preference between "manual" vs "automatic". As LarryJM mentions (and I whole heartedly agree with): steps, dump valves, stablizer jacks and macerator pumps...one can even mention transmissions, tongue jacks, remote generator starters, locking hubs on 4x4s, the list goes on. I would bet that anyone that perfers manual awnings have some other type of automatic something.
I agree that "auto" anything can break or go wrong and require more maintainance and care, but one can say that about anything in your RV and/or TV.
So as much as I do enjoy these topics and what everyone has say. It gets a bit old when anyone deminishes anothers opinion on the subject. Respect... :D
