Electric scooter for RVs?

The company behind Mylo says this is the perfect solution for RVs. Stop hanging bikes on the back.
  • I got an electric razor scooter with a seat and basket from the Home Depot web site for 250 dollars, When we take the grandkids with us it is a battle for grandpa to get it away from the grandkids so I can ride it,,,,
  • segway does not have pedals

those 'hoover boards' do not have pedals

those folding electric carts some RV'ers carry..do not have pedals

Never mind public roads, it has no pedals so it’s not a bicycle, good luck getting permission even riding it out of a campground.

My Rad Power Bike is legally considered a bicycle by federal regulation.

Fifteen hundred dollars.. Bit pricy. I rather like peadling my buns around the campground the human powered way... Just trued up a wheel (makes it easier to pedal) replaced a broken spoke (Trues the wheel) and corrected air pressure.

I got me one of those Air Dragons for less than advertised (Genuine product) not nearly as good as advertised.. I mean if I needed to top off one my 22.5" XRV's it would be sometime next week.. but for the bicycle and the utility cart.. FANTASTIC and that's what I bought it for. Way easier than my other options.
  • I read the same article. Thinking about getting one myself, though would like to read rider reviews? Some of my co-workers have similar fold-able electric scooter/bike combo as final leg commute. One rides an Erb-E from train station to our office. About a 25-min walk, 10-min by Erb-E. Though he's had a number of mechanical and electric related issues with his lately. Whether I could use the Mylo for the same purpose is debatable, as I would likely benefit by walking anyway?

If you dig a bit you'll see they do not intend the two wheels to be used for riding stability -- they are there to make it stand up by itself when folded. Also, the suspension on the two front wheels does compensate for leaning into turns (one doesn't come off the ground).

  • How much exercise does a ride on a Mylo provide? And one of these days I might see a quality bicycle on the back of an RV.
