Wait, what?
How many of us RV owners are towing with sedans and compact SUVs right now? That's the market electric vehicles are currently targeting.
It'll be a long while before pickup trucks get "outlawed", but they'll quickly become more expensive to run.
Well, my European travel thread got me thinking. Over there, pick up trucks are definitely outlawed in many urban areas. And some of them are electric only zero emission areas too.
This March, 56% of Norwegian new car sales were EV's.
This will drive T&P crazy but 30% of all new car sales were Tesla Model 3's.
But all of that must be taken with a grain (bucket?) of salt.
More Tesla Model 3’s were sold in just California than all EV’s COMBINED were sold in Norway in the same time period.
It’s amazing what good marketing, heavily subsidized electricity rates, and ridiculously high gasoline prices will do isn’t it?
