You can't just raise the taxes on electric that would not be fair to people who do not drive. Now the more you drive the more fuel you use so the more you pay in taxes. There is already complaints about the tax revenue from fuel going down because of more fuel efficient vehicles.
As I stated before, tax the EVs by the mile, or even better, all vehicles by the mile.
