Before EV goes mainstream a charging solution needs to be in place for the tens of miliions of people that don't have driveways.
True dat.
There is an apartment complex (x2) going up around the corner. In their advertisements they indicate EV parking with charging facilities will be provided for each apartment. Rumour has it it will be only a level 1 charging facility for each apartment space. More than likely a 120 volt 15 amp circuit for each parking space. No word on wetther it will be just a 15 amp receptacle or a hard wired level 1 J1772 EVSE connected. I believe it is now code in the city that all new construction must allow for Electtic vehicle charging and I believe it has to be level 2 so minimum 240 volt 12 amp or higher.
Times are a changing.
