Partial solution is work place charging which is already growing faster than they expected. Level one 120 volt 12 amp charging is not so hard. Level 2 240 volt 12 amp or higher is a little tougher. It’ll be a gradual requirement and a gradual adaptation.
Except in cold weather “those of us in northern countries” need Most of theamps of a 120 volt power supply just to keep the batteries warm enough to function and / or take a charge.
In winter weather with batteries warm from driving I rarely see anything more than 5 to 10 kmh / hour from a 120 outlet.
