Elio Motors

Just saw this car in person today at a mall here in Vegas, been watching it on the internet but unsure till today, its very cool looking, sits nicely with plenty of room, it will have a 3 cly 55hp 55tb fuel injected motor, with a/c and heat, elec windows, disc ABS brakes, manual or auto trans and a radio.

I am thinking of placing a deposit to be one of the 1st to get one in 2014, total weight is 1100lbs, should tow nicely behind my motorhome.

    Yes, I guess so. I know what a "cyl." is, that is an abbreviation for "cylinder".
    I suppose "cly" is a corruption of "cyl", but I wasn't sure, so I asked.
    I wonder, would you be "picky" enough to correct somebody if they said you were from AL instead of LA?
    After all, it is just a minor transposition of letters...

    This thing is supposed to be built here in Shreveport, La. in an old GM building. GM left town last year and the building is sitting vacant. Not sure when production is to begin. Elio and the city are still in the arguing stage.

    Opps I got that wrong but here's from the web-site.


    An inline, 3 cylinder, .9 liter, 55 HP, fuel-injected, SOHC gas-powered, liquid-cooled, automotive engine.

    Glad to see something made in the USA for a change. Kind of like a fancy motorcycle with a body and air conditioning.

    I will be waiting to see how you like yours, the price seems sort of reasonable. I am cleaning out a spot in my garage right now :B

    Oh and its suppose to get about 84 mpg highway and 49 mpg city, seats 2 people.
