Email List Problems Caused by Yahoo

This isn't strictly an RV issue but could seriously affect RVers who depend on email, particularly email list subscriptions.

Yahoo has taken an action described in the link below that is impacting not only Yahoo users but could cause users with other email hosts to be dropped from email lists:

The bottom line is:

"The email expert recommended that mailing list operators suspend the list posting rights of yahoo.com users and ask them to re-subscribe to their lists with accounts from different email providers."

    There are many sites that are asking customers to create new passwords since this "Bleeding Heart" virus hit. It is very invasive. I just had to re-do mine with my own ISP.

    This site seems to be working. Thanks for helping me test this.

    I have looked in my spam folders. Many strange messages but none that I want.

    I don't know how Yahoo could be involved in the sites that don't work.

    It wouldn't be gmail that is causing the problem - they are just reacting to the setting added to the message by Yahoo. Yahoo is changing the setting to "reject." Gmail would be reacting properly to the setting.

    If you use gmail make sure you check your spam folder. I get some that come through and some that that go to the spam folder from the same email.

    Recently I have not been getting email notifications of new messages in threads I am subscribed to. Perhaps gmail is also doing this.

    I was ask by gmail to re-register yesterday and create a new account and password. No reason given. I have been a subscriber to gmail for a looooong time.
    I complied it was the only way I could access my mail box. Once I complied I was connected to my mail box.

    Yes, a lot of places will not accept yahoo email addresses. Been like that for a long time.
