I'd be more concerned about where you're gonna go. A tornado is pretty localized thing. I can't imagine help being too far off as opposed to say a Cat 4 or 5 hurricane.

Duct tape can put together anything. After the tornado blows he camper to a zillion pieces, it can all be duct taped back together and then you can get on with camping. So don't let the duct tape blow away. Safeguard it! :)

We always keep two "GOOD" (get out of dodge) bags ready to go. One for each of us. Each has food for 72 hours. A small backpacker type stove. Flint, knife, dried jerky, handful of hard candies to suck on rather than drink your water. Water, pouches of tang or something similar. Can of chili and a can of soup. If you are not opposed..something for self defense. A flashlight. Soap, toilet paper etc. We also keep a document bag ready to grab. Auto pink slips, credit card info , duplicate credit or debit card, birth certificates(or passports), insurance papers, copy of my deed. If you come back and your house is not there all these papers will make reconstructing your life much easier. Some say we're nuts. We may be, but in the event of an emergency you can't be too prepared.
