Did you start out by setting your ball height at the same height as your trailer when level? If your trailer is setting low on the front, you usually have to add more washers in front of the ball. That will put more tension on the bars and raise the trailer by shifting weight to the truck.
The tallest setting on shank (ball height) was 2" below trailer height.
Should I add washers or is a taller shank in order?
