EU 3000 Honda

One thing I've learned recently about Honda generator prices: there are no discounts. Northern Tool and my local lawn mower dealer are priced the same as Wise. They are $50 more than Mayberry but you can find a $50 off coupon almost anywhere for Northern Tool if you spend more than $250.

This is one area where I think dealing local may be the better option; especially when you need service work.

We bought the Handi-3000 Honda from Wise sales and could'nt be happier with either. Would buy both the Honda and from Wise sales again. both great companys

Do it yourself remote wired start is pretty easy . The key never has to be turned off on the 3000 Honda , the battery is not affected . A remote shut down would also be pretty easy to make but I do not need one as I only shut mine off by turning off the fuel and letting it run dry !

Sorry again for the hijack. Yamaha 3000 is also 22" high. I have 20". Yamaha 2400 would fit but too many people are having issues runnings 13.5k AC with it.

Especially since the OP wanted to install it permanently the 3000 seems like a better choice. For other people that need to move things around and/or lack space 2x2000 seems to be the popular choice.

I'd go for the two 2000s myself. You lose remote start functionality, but gain a lot more versatility, especially with an extended run gas tank.

I think the Yamaha 3000SEB would fit under the tonneau cover, but I wouldn't guarentee it. It is shorter, but wider and heavier... and can be equipped with remote start. To boot, the SEB model can handle the locked rotor camps of a starting 15K BTU/hr A/C pretty well.

It could if you emptied everything (fuel and crankcase oil). The gas cap is not sealed, so the tank would need to be emptied. For what it's worth, mine fits under my 'over the rails' hard tonneau cover with about an inch to spare.
