Euro Recliners with ottomans

We would like to take out the 2 chairs we have now and replace them with those Euro recliners. We like the looks, they seem lighter and more comfortable than what we have now. Any recommendations for something more reasonable$ than RV Dealers or Camping World etc.?
  • Our Jayco came with some smaller light weight rocker/swivel chairs that were okay , but we bought some Euro chairs to replace them . We loved the Euro chairs at first . We snowbirded one winter and we found that the ottomans became like two large black labador dogs that were always in the way and taking up floor space when not in use. We bought two recliners down south to replace the Euros . We were in one spot for a few months and enjoyed the recliners. Now that we no longer snowbird in the traditional RV style , we are thinking of going back to the Euros. Why? Because the recliners are quite heavy and hard to move which needs to be done to allow the slide to come in. Our decision is still being discussed , but I know as we get older , lifting and sliding heavier chairs is not going to fly. Then again , when we sell our Lake home and move to a "turn key" we may put our fiver on a permanent spot and the recliners would work better. This is just our experience and it is fun to share and see what others think . Life is Good.
  • All I will say is you get what you pay for in the furniture world. The euro recliners fit this statement well.
  • euro style chairs

I bought one from this company, free shipping in the US. Have had it a year. very comfy and price was right. 3 of my friends also bought from this company. They are not Lazy boy, but way lighter than that 200 lb chair I need to move around in the trailer. The one I bought just slides back so the slide can come in. Weighs about 50 lbs. I love it. Dona
  • How about 2 LazyBoy recliners instead? They take up less room because the ottomans would always be out in the middle of the floor to get around. We love our LazyBoys! Watch for sales - sometimes even 2/1. LazyBoys are very easy to get into a RV because the backs come off and they fold flat.
  • Do a web search. You can find them on line in many many colors pretty cheap.
  • We've had RV Euro chairs and residential Euro chairs. Some of those made for RV's just aren't designed very well. Screws come loose and it wobbled. Ditto for residential. So shop around. Some people find them at Costco, but we don't have a membership.

We bought an Ekornes for half price at a furniture dealer warehouse sale. Last year, we were tempted to buy another one at a Furniture Store Moving Sale in Augusta, GA.

But decided we'll go back to Lazyboy, because I preferred a rocker/recliner over just somewhere to put my feet up. Ekornes ended up at one of our DS's.
