#2 it's German, the average European doesn't drive as far per day as an American
That range will take most to their destination
#1: What is the concept where the downward facing solar panels on the front end cap will pick up any power? It looks like they slapped flexible solar panels on every available surface with no consideration of practicality.
#2: Even in Europe, 100 miles is very light on range.
PS: we did a camper van trip through southern Germany a couple years ago and know several Europeans who have MH's. Typical power pedestal was coin operated and gave you 1kwh per 0.50euro. So that would be 50euro to fill up a 100kwh battery bank (ignoring the fact you have to keep feeding coins constantly). The camper van got 30mpg at 6.00euro per gal, so 100 miles would be about 20euro. If the panels were perfectly aligned (false because you can't get sun on all 4 sides at the same time), 3kw of panels would put out maybe 12kwh per day and assuming you use some for house loads, that's a couple miles per day from solar.
I would have been more impressed if the side panels flipped up to create awnings and allowed you to aim them at the sun. You might actually get something close to 3kw during the midday hours.
