  • Wife and I learned our lesson about judging others by their looks or possessions.

We were at a state park on the Texas coast. Threatening weather approaching, ominous looking squall line. Plumbing company pickup, pulling a modest trailer. Pulls in and out of space next to us, drives around, back in and out of the space, sometimes backing in (wasn't a pull-thru site), other times driving straight in. By this time the squall line was dumping a lot of rain and frequent lightning.

He eventually stays parked, driving straight into space with the truck in the sand/mud beyond the pavement. This has become amusing to watch. He gets out, full sleeve tattoos. We wonder if the boss knows he's used the company truck. I make the statement, "maybe he owns the company?"

Rain lets up, wife and daughter come out, not a couple that looks like they go together. Almost some distance in their body language and physical separation. Now we wonder about abuse.

Fast forward to Saturday, we are headed to the nearby town for some kayaking lessons and time on the water. Who shows up, the family from next door to us.

Long story cut short(er), we found he did own the plumbing company and quite successfully I might add. Delightful couple. Could not have been more wrong in my assessment. In silent prayer, I asked forgiveness for the assumption I fist made.

Back to the limo driver ... I'll simply admire the "unique" tow vehicle and wish the occupants much fun and safe travels.
  • That should be easy to back into a state park campground spot. :)
  • Hey, even the wealthy need to "cut corners"! LOL

However, he did splurge on the Hensley!
  • He's probably the driver/owner of the limo company. Trailer seems a bit "low end" for somebody wealthy.
