Experiences with RV Wholesalers?

Does anyone have any first hand experience with RV Wholesalers in Ohio? (Online at http://www.rvwholesalers.com)

Their prices are significantly lower than a local dealer on same models with same options even when adding in the delivery charge; but I am slightly nervous about buying from a dealer 8 hours away from me.
  • We bought ours through RV Wholesalers in Lakeview OH and can't complain. They also do all my maintenance, but we keep our trailer about 20 miles away.
  • If you can't fix the things that go wrong with a trailer yourself you should buy local. Because you are probably guaranteed the local dealer will have an attitude about fixing stuff.
Tons of stuff will likely need re screwed, refastened, tightened, sealed, rehung, adjusted just to start. You need to be able to do these things all on your own and not get upset about it.

Major things are generally covered under their own warranty (fridges, a/c's, axles) and generally these things are likely to fail while on the road, therefore your "local" dealer may be of no help.

plus the fact the warranty is generally only 1 year I wouldn't worry about it.

I, personally will be driving from NB to Indiana when my new Rockwood Roo 183 is purchased ;)
  • The conversation on this frequently ends up being a battle about whether or not you need a local dealer to provide quality service (especially warranty based). If you do a search on rvwholesalers, wholesale dealers, or other related topics you will find a ton on that.

To your particular question, we have purchased both of our trailers from them. They are exactly what they advertise. The price they quote is the price you get. You will get some high pressure for extended warranties, and you have to make sure you do your due diligence at delivery (they will tend to try to rush through it), but you will get the trailer you want for the price you expect.

We have not dealt with any warranty claims yet (I tend to fix most of the little things myself, and haven't experienced any large issues), so I can't comment on that issue. However, we tried to buy local and the best we could do was more than 20% higher than rvwholesalers. To date, we've been very happy with our decision.
