The tire in its un-patched condition takes 3 - 4 weeks to get low enough to require more air. If the patch comes off, that doesn't make the hole worse, it just means in 3 - 4 weeks it will need air again. Nothing sudden or catastrofic.
I've considered using a plug but the hole is so small I hate to put a larger one in it to get the plug in. I think I'll try the green slime first.
If I went to a new tire, I'd feel obligated to replace booth rear tires. These are the version of All Terrain T/As they quit making about a year ago - just after I bought them of course. So to make the treads match, I'd have to buy two of the new T/A ko versions.
