Unfortunately, it seems to occur all too often with extended warranties for RVs. When you need them they have so many loopholes from which they can wiggle out of financial responsibility for the needed repair. I may opt to get an extended warranty on high dollar electronics equipment but have never had an issue getting claims approved when repairs were needed.
For RVs and automobiles, I will tell salespeople upfront that this deal will not include an extended warranty or other useless upsells. I'm pretty handy with tools and have personally made repairs to our fifth wheels and TTs, at times with dealer provided parts when they were still under warranty. Even with motorized RVs it is better to know a quality repair shop and bank the money instead.
