Should work just fine. Did that with a gas grill. Only problem I had was that there are two quick-connect fitting sizes that look to the eye identical, but will not connect between the sizes. My local RV dealer had 'em both, one he described as "the old fitting style" and the other was "the new fitting style." Turned out that my 2007 TT had the "old" style. It was cheaper to buy an old style male than to buy a new style male AND female to replace the connector on the trailer.
