factory 5th wheel mounts

Hello all I am new to this forum and thank you for any input in advance. I have a 2012 ram dually. I am replacing my damaged pick up bed and with a 2016 dually bed that has the factory 5th wheel mount access holes in the bed. Is there any chance that i could use those access points from the new bed to fasten to my existing chassis or would modifications need to be done to frame to accept hitch locking mechanisms.
