You should have two, one for CO and one for propane. The CO detector is usually on the ceiling, the propane detector is close to the floor. CO rises to the ceiling, propane falls to the floor. They should have a button on them that you push to test. Test them and see if they work, if not replace them. Lots of folks being found in their trailers dead from CO poisoning.
