Factory Installed Integrated Brake Controllers

My TV is getting old. I am thinking about a new truck to tow my 32 foot TT. I know that many of the new TV have factory installed integrated brake controllers. What I do not know is how well do they work.

I would welcome some "reviews" on how well they perform vs older user installed controllers such as the Tekonsha or Prodigy.

The brake controller in my SO's F150 (2015) works very well. You do have to adjust it a little bit, like any other controller. The instructions in the Ford manual are all wrong, just ignore them. They were written by someone who has never towed a trailer, LOL. Just adjust it the same way you would any other controller.
  • My last two trucks have had the integrated brake controllers. And they work very well. Have never had an after market controller so can't comment on differences.
