I purchased an orbital Porter Cable and pads from AutoGeek. It makes short work of any waxing job. I like having things to do in retirement.
$10/foot x 40' = $400
Water $2
Washing solution $5
Wax $5
Advil $2
Total $14
I'll suffer the pain...and do :). - pnicholsExplorer IIAs for the roof .... I really am not too keen on some person stomping around up there waxing. I do my own roof - laying on my belly most of the time or at worst very, very, carefully and slowly moving around on my knees as I wax. Roof leaks can be created by the concentrated weight from feet at the wrong place at the wrong time.
I wax the sides too myself, but we have only 24 feet to deal with. - tbirds255ExplorerI was selling a 18' trailer earlier this year and wanted to get it cleaned up, without having to bring it home from the storage lot. I got a quote of $10 per foot, then he proceded to add it up 18'x2=36', then added the width of 8'x2=16', 36'+16"=52', so $520! I told him NO THANKS!
- GoldwingerExplorerIn the RGV most wash and wax is per unit, not per foot. I pay $35.00 for a wash and $50.00 for a wax job they furnish the wax. I have a 35 foot MH.

I'll pay the $14 if you do mine :) - ripperooExplorerI paid about $420 for a 30' travel trailer. They inspected the roof (no wash, I did that), then washed the trailer, removed all black streaks, hand waxed entire trailer, and cleaned the main 20' awning. Awning cleaning was $19.99 of that $420.
Had a disk fusion in my neck the 2 months before. I got as far as washing the roof and realized there was no way in he** I was going to do the wash and wax etc. Was surprised at the price. Think I'll just do that every spring from now on. I'll still wash it myself from time to time throughout the summer. - AridonExplorerGuy here in SE FL does it for $10ft including a good tip. I'll gladly pay that once or twice a year.
- crabbin_cabinExplorer II$10/ foot length seems to be the common price here in Mesa AZ - on site, was and wax.
- JamesBrExplorerits location location location. Here in the DC area its 10-15 a ft as I priced it just to wash and wax. Down in FL, I found a company that would do the full service for 200 bucks. My current RV is new, so I am hoping with this weekend if the weather permits, I may do the first wash and wax myself.
- mileshuffExplorerHere in Phoenix I paid $275 including tax to have my 30' 5'er washed and waxed and my TV completely detailed inside and out and waxed. The trailers cost was $165 of that. They did an excellent job on both.
