fair price for waxing a fifth wheel

We're back in Yuma and today we're getting the usual wash and hand wax on a 34 ft FW for the usual price of $99.99. Also includes washing the TV.

Just attended GA Fall Samboree in Perry. Local company charged $8.00/ft to wash and wax. $10.00/ft to wash and Gel coat.

Mileshuff, I use Bounce fabric softener pads. I hear it softens the bug up so they come right off. No idea if that is it or just the texture but it really works. I was in the midwest and did not wash the rig the entire trip. Lots of bugs and then the unit sat for a month. Bugs came right off with little effort.

I have a 32' toy hauler and use this method. Nice soapy water with gel coat treatment from camping world. I use fabric softener pad to wash the vehicle off. No idea but I read it on here and it made a big difference compared to pads and mits.
Let it dry and I have a buffer polisher to apply the wax and remove it. No shoulder pain. I use a nice large fiberglass ladder to get to the entire RV. I wax more often on the front than the sides and back to get bugs off easy.
I have no idea if this causes any problems but at $32 for the buffer/polisher I am very happy. I know it makes simple water clean ups during the year much easier. I think this is much cheaper and I bet a better job than having someone else do it.

Paid $100 for wash and hand wax of 34' FW in Yuma. They also wash a vehicle, included in the $100 price. Great deal.

$10/ft is well worth it. Me, I'm still the do it myselfer. Twice a year I am in a boatyard for 4-6 days. A top to bottom wash & wax takes 2 days. Nice to have the equipment handy such as A frames & boards for the top half & have my own Makita buffer.

Ahhhhh, next week is waxing week. Joy!
