Fastway E2 WDH w/sway control vs Equal-I-Zer

The dealer is putting a WDH w/sway control on my new trailer. My top two choices are Reese Trunion w/Dual Cam and Equal-I-Zer. The dealer is using the Fastway E2 Round Bar w/sway control. It looks just like the Equal-I-Zer to me.

Anyone able to compare the Fastway E2 and the Equal-I-Zer?

If they are the same, I am good with the FastWay E2.

Thanks

Bobbo
  • The E2 is pretty much the same as the Equal-i-zer as a WDH. Its sway control isn't as good, but it's less expensive.
  • What bikendan said. I have an E2 for my Jayco X17C hybrid. Started out with a Nissan Frontier and now have a Nissan Titan. At 500# TW, I'm good with the E2. If I was in the 700# plus TW range, I'd go with the 4 point Equal-i-zer or the dual cam. In my previous life, I pulled a 30 ft TT with an F250 and had the old school Reese DC hitch...that thing was the bomb!
  • The Equal-i-zer 4pt is a much better WDH than the E2.
    They are NOT the same.
It's made in the US while the E2 is made in China.

The E2 is fine for smaller trailers.
  • The e2 and equalizer are the same company. The e2 only has 2 points of sway control the equalizer has 4 points.
