- muelldawgExplorerWyoTraveler, I lived in Seattle/Olympia for 30+ years. I remember hiking and camping with our son in the rain & snow near Mt Rainier. And he wanted to pitch our tent on the snow. It is a memory!!
- tenbearExplorerIf I didn't live in Vermont that would be my choice, however, Maine gets my vote. Great coastline, wilderness and just a nice place.
- K_CharlesExplorerI hope I haven't been to the best place yet, it's been fun looking so far.
- muelldawgExplorerUtah. So many National Parks and reasonable climate.
- WyoTravelerExplorerSo I have to ask. Have you ever camped in the rain forest? Hiked to the lake in a down pour? I can say I have. Went across on the ferry with my MG Midget sports car and pup tent and slept in the mud in a rain sorm. It never much stops. Hiked to the the beautiful lake in the rain. Had a great time. Also did things people in WA will never do again hiked in the ice caves. They are now gone forever.
- slarsenExplorerMy favorite (so far) is the Gulf area of Florida.
