Favorite travel game

What is your favorite travel board game? So far all we play is Rummy with cards - looking into Parcheesi or something similar that folds up smallish for travel. We like to play at the picnic table in the evenings - with a fire, or not...

Any ideas?

Oops; missed the "board game" part of the OP.

Cornhole is a "board" game by definition. ;-)
  • When it comes to choosing a favorite travel game, Solitaire is at the top of my list. There's something so timeless and comforting about playing solitaire, especially when you're on the go.

It's a game that doesn't require much space or any special equipment, making it perfect for passing the time while waiting for a flight or riding on a train. One of the things I love most about solitaire is its simplicity. The rules are easy to understand, yet the game itself can be surprisingly challenging. It's a great way to keep your mind sharp and occupied during long journeys. Another reason why I enjoy solitaire as a travel game is its versatility. You can play it on your own, allowing for some peaceful solo time, or you can challenge a friend to see who can solve the game the fastest. It's a game that can adapt to whatever situation you find yourself in while traveling.

  • How many players do you generally have? There are tons of smaller, quick board games out there these days.

Sushi GO is fun but a little complicated.

Guillotine is a good game with a simple setup.

    Codenames is a fun one.
