yeah, good point! Plus the little plastic "tile's" are expensive, and only last a year. We got ours as a present so we are trying them out.

Ah, a new fangled do-hickey that looks like a small 1" square of plastic that you can connect to key rings, and other things that you (I) lose frequently and sends out a signal so you can find that item. This is the link

Too bad, I have seen similar things for lost pets but, that has the same problem.

I've learned from experience that a chain through the wheel might not do the trick.

While motel camping during an ATV jamborees I would always lock my RZR to the utility trailer with a cable and lock, and generally have a hitch lock for the front of the trailer for when I left the trailer at the motel unhitched from the truck. Forgot the lock on one trip so I ran cable through the trailer wheel in addition to locking down the RZR. Next morning, pouring rain, hooked up quickly and did overly fast walk around. I'm used to seeing the cable locking the RZR to the trailer and totally brain dumped that it now went through the wheel as well. Seems my diesel truck torque resulted in my not even being able to feel the tire not turning. Got far enough down the road in the rain prior to hearing a strange noise that I had to replace the tire due to having worn it down to the cords.

I don't know about "illegal":h, but definitely valuable. With toyhaulers; what's inside could easily be worth 10, 20, 30 thousand dollars, even $100,000 or more, not to mention the added bonus of tools, riding gear, spare parts, etc.

Most chains and padlocks can be cut with a bolt cutters.

Someone mentioned some high tinsel strength steel chains and locks. Those maybe not quite as easy. But, a big enough bolt cutter can get through a lot.

Chances are the thief just has a cheap one though.

Don't know that I'd want to be out front of someones house at 4am running a grinder, darn things are pretty loud.

Know a number of folks that have been buying the wheel boots, more work then I care to do, but whatever floats your boat.

It's so easy to cut a chain or padlock with one of the inexpensive cordless grinders, why waste the time??
