Read recently that thieves steal trailers with hitch locks by simply hooking it up to a tow truck pull it away just far enough that they can cut the hitch lock off. The solution was exactly what they did with the chain and padlock.
I use bike locks on our bikes, I lock the doors of the house, cars and RV when I am away, the portable satellite antenna is locked when it is out and when I had a portable generator it was secured and locked.
