And have you found the same thing I have? If you live a good long time and have a decent recall of your many weird medical diagnoses and a family that practically required a live-in MD, you tell the Dr your current problem and....they give you this patronizing little smile and write down something like "possible cyber-chondriac?" One neurologist told me last year (following a TIA that left me with hearing loss in one ear) that "medically savvy" was written on my chart. Many doctors have asked me if I was a nurse. Some of them were legitimately asking and some a bit sarcastically. It's like they think everybody should be from a farm in the Midwest circa 1847. :R
