To the OP you did the right thing! The fact you thought about it isn't great.
My question is why did you need road service in the 1st place, does not your TV have a small jack in it? You could have used that to lift the a-frame high enough to place the block of wood under it.
Lastly, if you had properly chocked the wheels it would not have moved in the 1st place.
