In fact I have used these same wood blocks for 7 years and never had a problem. DW went to Home Depot while I waited for driver and bought 13 X 5 planks which they cut into 5 or 6 pieces which provided a sturdier surface for the jack. I am looking for a better system. Finally, I had chocked the tires before cranking the jack. I am amazed at how easily "situational ethics" can show up and rear its ugly head!.
