I would be shopping for a washtub...or use the kitchen sink if it's big enough. If you're worried about splashed messiness and wet floors with the shower (rather than the general concept of a shower which some kids really don't like), using the outdoor shower if you have one could solve that difficulty. You could rig up a tarp or something for privacy if the setting demands.
