Fighting off boredom on the road

Hmmm... I like the quiet, so we just relax and enjoy the ride. But lots of friends listen to audio books, you might consider that as an option... assuming you can agree on books to listen to ... :)

We mostly chat, quiet is ok too, but have used audio books and music CD's for really long stretches such as across Texas.

There used to be a book called `Radio on the Road' but it was only published once which is unfortunate because it listed what stations Rush Limbaugh could be found on plus some helpful information.

Between conversation, audio books, satellite radio, and the always changing scenery, I don't think my wife and I have ever been bored while underway.

His snoring doesn't bother me while I'm driving.

Pick a fight. Tell him that the jeans he is wearing require a red flag on the back pocket. Seriously, plan your next trip.

NPR; any classical station I can find. Personal fav is for those who give biographical info about the composers, maestros or orchestras.

I like quiet or conversation. I could probably listen to one of those old time radio programs though. My wife loves radio talk shows. I like them now and then. We solve any problems with her bluetooth headphones. She also likes to read while traveling. I like to drive so no big problems here.
