Depending on how often you do it, using a funnel might be the easiest way to go. If you start doing it more frequently, getting a pump would be a good alternative. It's relatively inexpensive and simple to wire up for temporary or permanent hookup.
We are fortunate that our Motorhome can pull fresh water into the tank using the on board pump. I just flip a few switches and can suck water from anything. We were a 100 miles into a 800 mile trip when we ran out of fresh water. Some how I underestimated how much water we had. All we had was 16 ounce water bottles, so we used that. Got enough to flush the toilet a couple times before getting to a gas station with Potable water.
